Good Mexican at affordable prices. My order came with chips and they were nice and crispy. Wish the burrito had more meat. There's street parking & back lot parking as well.

So sad that they don't have fried plantains anymore (because that was what made their Mayan breakfast burrito the best), but the food is still good! I used to frequent this place back when I lived in Koreatown because they were the only Mexican restaurant with food that I would crave. Parking is still a pain around here but hopefully you come when they have an open spot in their back lot (or else you gotta go searching for some street parking). You still order at a small window in the front and then if you are going to dine-in, they have a small covered patio on the side that you have to be let in through a small locked gate to sit at the tables. We ordered chilaquiles verdes (tortilla chips coated in salsa Verde and topped with cheese, raw onions, cilantro, eggs) that day because I haven't had chilaquiles in many years. Oh my god they were so flavorful and delicious--a little strong in flavor (salty and sour) so it pairs well with the rice, beans, and eggs. The chips were still lightly crispy despite being coated in the sauce, and it was worth having onion breath for the rest of the day. I would definitely try their chilaquiles again with salsa roja next time. I recommend the mole and tinga tacos in addition to the chilaquiles! Will definitely be back whenever I am craving Happy Taco again

I love this place! Only reason they got docked a star is because they didn't honor yelp check in! Take it down if you're not going to let us use it smh. The happy burrito is the move. Never heard of a burrito coming with steak chicken AND shrimp. Pretty nuts and amazingly delicious. Even comes with chips and salsa. This place is a gem even has outdoor seating area!

Went for breakfast burritos - got one with bacon, and one with avocado. If you like a crispy hashbrown, this is the burrito for you. Good quantity of avocado in the burrito with no meat, and good quantity of bacon in the other. Comes in at a great price point as well - $9.95. The only thing that would prevent me from going back is the fried egg inside the burrito. I don't feel like this works better than a scrambled egg in this case, because there are times when you're eating exclusively egg white, and it is a little unsatisfying. Salsa that comes with the burrito has a very nice spice to it, although the flavor is a little lacking. Overall very solid! They have an extensive menu, with a large vegetarian section, so there's something for everyone. Walkup window is very cute and relatively efficient. Street parking might be a struggle, but we got lucky.

Had a craving for shrimp fries, like nachos but with fries instead of chips. This was the only place in ktown that I could find that sells them. We had the shrimp fries, two asada tacos and a horchata. I highly recommend the fries, but ask for them to substitute the nacho cheese for real grated cheese. The service was great, I ordered before I got there and it was ready to go by the time I picked up. They have a small outdoor patio where you can eat and it looks very clean. I took my food home though because it was cold out.

This place has been around for a while now and I'm glad I finally stopped by, the Happy Nachos keep me coming back, and each time I come back I try something new. The service is great , friendly and very helpful if it's your first time there , the ambiance is in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Pico Union yet private from their small outside patio . I recommend the Happy Nachos

Overall: 4.4/5 (delivery) We ordered on Postmates, and the food was delivered in half an hour. All the portion sizes & prices were great. Birria de Res Tree Tacos Plate ($16.95): I'm also craving birrias tacos when I want tacos. This was a great deal since other places charge like $5/birria tacos & extra $ for the consome. The rice and beans were okay and on the blander side. I didn't really like the consome and there wasn't a lot of meat. The tacos had a lot of meat but they were lacking flavor overall. Wouldn't get this item again. Happy Burrito ($14.95): I saw a lot of good reviews for their burritos so I had to try one of their popular ones. The happy burrito did not disappoint and was so good! There's 3 type of proteins so I was pretty full from eating half of it. Everything about it was good except the grilled carne asada had a lot of the tendons so i had to chew and spit these out a couple of times (definitely not cute for a date). Other than that issue, this is probably my favorite item. Cajun Shrimp Crispy Taco ($6.95): We didn't eat our food right away so we were quite surprised that the taco shell remained crispy the entire time. The shrimps were big and juicy. All the right flavors were there. I can see why this is a popular item. This was also my husband's favorite item of the 3 we tried.
